On the 8th of August 2026, we celebrated Women's Day with the women who stand guard for our nation. History, strength and sisterhood in one frame. To everyone in service, we see you, we honour you, and we salute you.

 

Jubilee Life Ministries Afternoon Tea

(9th of August 2026)

On 9 August, Jubilee Life Ministries is one church with multiple locations in Eerste River, Stellenbosch, Grabouw, Fisantekraal, Sir Lowry's Pass, and Parow. As a church, one of their key focus areas is women's empowerment, and this event is intended to encourage, uplift, and inspire women within our communities. This was their way of Celebrating Women’s Day with us here at the Castle of God Hope.

 

Avenue Kensington Members workshop

(13th of August 2026)

On 13th of August, the community members from 18th Avenue, Kensington came together at the Castle of Good Hope for a community conference on inequality in South Africa. When communities come together, share their experiences, and speak up, we create space for meaningful change.

 

Griqua Royal House Event

(15th of August 2026)

On the 15th of August, the Griqua Royal House handed a framed, huge written piece of Adam Kok I to the CEO of the Castle of Good Hope, Mr Calvyn Gilfellan, that will be displayed at the Adam Kok I kitchen for our visitors to see and read through.

 

Table Mountain Family Day at the Castle 

(22nd of August 2026)

On 22 August 2026, Table Mountain hosted a wonderful Family Day for its employees and their families at the Castle of Good Hope. It was a fun-filled day with live music, children’s games and the live streaming of the Bokke, making the celebration extra special for everyone. The Castle was delighted to be part of this memorable family experience, bringing people together to enjoy a day of fun, entertainment and togetherness in a historic setting.
